The wine making kits in the Cantina 5-day
series are produced from Italian quality grape juices. The supplies of grapes come from the northern Italian regions of Emilia and Tuscany.
With the help of a recently developed, highly specialized yeast/nutrient mix it is now possible to ferment a wine in 4 days only (the 5th is used for clearing) whilst still retaining most of the grape qualities.
VARIETIES
Red Table Wine A medium dry red based on the Sangiovese grape.
White Table Wine
A medium dry white based on Trebbiano grapes.
Pieselberg A medium dry German style white, based on a mix of Riesling and Trebbiano grapes
Rose A medium dry, crisp and fruity Rose based on a mix of Trebbiano and Sangiovese grapes.
Cantina Gold: Cabernet Sauvignon
Full bodied, rich in tannins, made from pure varietal Cabernet Sauvignon grape juice.
Cantina Gold: Chardonnay
Medium dry, fruity wine with taste of apples, citrus and hints of tropical fruit as well as the typical smokey Chardonnay flavour.
Cantina Gold: Pinot Grigio
Medium dry with a refreshing, clean acidity and a wonderful balance, bold citrus flavours, edgy acidity and a floral finish.
Cantina Gold: Montepulciano
Medium to full-bodied, intensely ruby red in colour. The bouquet is equally intense with hints of strawberries and cherries. Flavour is fruity, young, fresh and slightly tannic.
