Local Malting?

Just wondering does anyone know where i could find out where my closest malting is?
just that i have been told that if ther is one near by it may be worth a visit as they are usually willing to seel you malt for beer making.

Why not try your local brewer, go along with your bag and get them to fill it with pale malt.  No harm in asking !

If you are after cheap malt, try you local brewerys. Some are happy to sell you a few kilos at a fraction of the cost, some will also sell you hops and donate a lump of their yeast.

I made a starter this afternoon with a couple of teaspoons brewery yeast and its looking like I may have to make a trip down the supermarket for a bigger bottle already.
