There is a wine circle in Saddleworth. Smiley

I attended my first meeting on Thursday, they meet every second Thursday of the month in Grotton which is just up the road from Uppermill and not many miles away from Ashton.

It's 10 a year membership and they have talks, quizzes, a wine competition and a buffet supper each meeting. Spouses are made very welcome, I have paid a membership fee for both my wife and myself because we had such a good laugh. Grin

It was nice to meet people with similar interests rather being called a homebrew bore like I'm labelled at work lol.  Grin Grin

Just copied this from another request for groups in Manchester.
Andy is a nice bloke so give him a ring

"I know this is probably too late for the original poster, but there is a Wine Circle thriving in North Manchester - we have been around for 45 years and have around 40 members.

The Saddleworth Amateur Winemakers Circle meet every 2nd Thursday at Grotton Community Centre, Grotton, Oldham.

Contact Andy Mullington on 0161 287 0343 or email samurailord@hotmail.com for more details."
