Apart from the usual canned beer and self made plonk, a rather delicious Argentinian red, Graffigna Malbec 2017 Reserve, stunningly good with steak, spicy berry rich but dry and lovely soft tannins that caress the tongue, 13% estate bottled and will buy again. Curiously imported by Pernod Ricard UK. Smiley

Greene King "Abbot Ale" just the job, earlier a pint of chilled "pink" a 3%(1.025) concoction of apple juice and frozen mixed summer fruits(Iceland) not quite dry so probably only 2.5% or so, will do it again soon, very refreshing. Wink

PS "pink" not posted as not considered to be a "Wine", more along the lines of "small beer" but fruit. Roll Eyes Cool

Just back from trying to deplete the beer stocks in Budapest, really nice local draught and craft beers, so much beer, so little time, oh well time for a can of Lynx from the garage. Wink

By Default--Examining and turning some Ports Saturday found a bottle of DELAFORCE 1977 Vintage leaking badly, lost about 1/3rd of content. Removed leaded foil to find cork disentegrated, trying to remove with various corkscrews, just kept breaking up, eventually got wine out  fine filtered 12 hrs, saving 500ml. It's lost a lot of the character, more like a Malmsey Port blended with a rich Madeira- SWMBO  and I shared a glass last night, will finish off tonight about £90 lost !!
Will check rest more often in future.

Tom, Sadly reminiscent of my good friends 40 year old Claret bought for his 40th birthday at great expense, the cork was knackered and the wine was like gritty black gravy, clearly a bacterial infection but no idea what, at least yours was drinkable. Wink
PS, Strictly speaking there is no vintage port due to the process of transferring from barrel to barrel before finally bottling, just a year of bottling. Wink Grin Grin Grin Grin
PPS, Hatherwoods "Amber Adder" from Lidl, 5% amber ale and very nice. Wink

Could only get five bottles from my DJ's so these are going down the charity shop when they open again.

Some of the 3/4 of a bottle left was drunk yesterday and the rest finished off today. Sloe medium dry.
And a nice bottle of Hobgoblin in the sunshine.

Brian, Keep the DJ's, they are the best for long term(years) storage of wine, 5lt PET water containers will give you six full bottles and a taster.

Currently Italian blend coffee as I can't go to my favourite country yet, later a couple of pints of APA as above. Wink
