Franche Wine Circle, meet at Franche Church Hall, second Monday of month, good friendly active crowd , outings and trips as well as tastings.

Tom: I've just been for a drive around to have a recce in the daylight, where is this held?

I couldn't see anything mentioned on the Baptist Church Hall's notice board, so is this at St. Barnabas Community Hall? That was all locked up this afternoon and I couldn't even find a notice board.

From A449 past Lock pub to Island, 3rd *exit up toward Church, Doctor's Surgery and houses on right, just past, left through a gateway , 50 yds the hall is on the right . Looking from the hall  playing field, Bodenham Road to Arboretum 80 yds in front of you, with the Village Hall at 2 o'clock across the road, the play area & bowling green in front of village hall.

* I had problems first time as well,  ---  from Island
Exit 1 Left to Franche Village & Kiddy.,
Ex 2 Straight on  Bodenham,
Ex 3 right Church hall, that's the one you want
Ex 4 right right one way narrow road past front of church down past Cave Houses, to village-- toward where Live & Let Live was.
Ex 5 back toward A449

Good luck, have a good night, if you wish further clarification you can contact 01562 851121

No I think St Barnabas is by France Village Hall, and Working Mans Club, about a mile further on nearer Kiddy, I'll look for a Google Map.

Thanks Tom.

So to recap: Franche Wine Circle meet at Wolverley Church Hall, why didn't you say that in the first place?

After drawing a blank at St. Barnabas and Franche Baptist I may have extended my wild goose chase to Franche village hall and Franche community centre before it ever crossed my mind to venture into a neighbouring parish.

Now you're sure it's not Bewdley on a Tuesday? Wink

I didn't realise both "parishes" met -- I just followed original road instructions earlier this year from Eagle & Spur @  Cookley, where they previously met --, it was only looking for you, that I noticed Wolverley !!
If you haven't been tonight, you've missed it --go tomorrow night, it's P C C , .won't be as interesting as Cheese & Wine !!
Hope you enjoyed it, with the wild goose  !!

Thanks Tom. Yes, I went along, found it easily enough, and had a most enjoyable evening.

They seem like a good bunch and if I can learn a bit more from them, well so much the better Smiley

Shame I had no way of knowing about last night's competition before I went, it would have been interesting to put a bottle into their novice class, but I had taken a bottle along and it was good to spend a few minutes with the evening's judge after she had finished her deliberations and pronouncements, to get some feedback on the wine I had taken and some tips towards their next competition in February.

I will definitely be joining them, so thanks again.

Mine will be the one in a clear bottle with a white topped cork stopper Wink
